There is more to ram than just speed. 256mb system ram (other 256 is for GPU) im this day and age is NOT a lot.
What part of the article is incorrect? As far as I understand the PS3's ram is split between system and video.
You seem to ignore the part that say the PS3 ram is split into SYSTEM ram and VIDEO ram while the Xbox360's ram is multi-purpose. So the cell only has 256mb to use while the 360 cpu got a potential 512mb.

Value depreciation is very fast on electronics. A top line CPU today will cost the same as a top line CPU in 5 years. did you know the launch price of the PS1 and the PS2 was the same? I guess that disproves your "fact". ;)

I actualy don't know what the issue is. Get it changed out for free, how hard is that? It's worth the effort considering the amount of gaming you do on it.

Actualy, you don't know if it's still an issue. Do you have any credible sources saying it's still an issue? This article actualy states that the elites isn't an issue anymore and is much less prone.

The RROD comes from the GPU overheating. Msoft added heat pipes to bring DOWN heat on the GPU. How is that not helping? What it comes down to is that you have absolutely no idea what the fail rate of the Elite is (or any model) and everything you say is gathered from opinion and word of mouth.
The sony supporters are desperately clinging on to the RROD issue because it's one of their big "weapons" against the 360.
